I am deaf in one ear and have a couple other issues and have a service dog who goes out in public with me when Master isn't with me. --- he takes my physical/mental/emotional capabilities into consideration at all times. If you want more information you can pm me privately... disabilities shouldn't stop you from anything in life, but should be taken seriously and into consideration, there are somethings you just can't do with specific types of disabilities and allowances have to be made... I've helped with other people's service dogs, getting them trained and service ready. so I know a little about different disability types -- (and did volunteer work in other ways with disabled people..) My Master pointed out this post to me because W/we had been talking about this earlier. My main problem is that I am Epileptic. I am lucky in so much as I do not thrash about during a fit but I have absences and tremors. When I have an absence I basically fade out and don't really know where I am or what I am doing. The tremors are a problem because I can't control my body (lately it is mainly the right side.) Master is very understanding and worries about me a great deal. Although the fits were never completely controlled they have become much worse lately. After a fit I am very tired and usually fall asleep for at least an hour. Today was quite a bad day and I got really upset. I asked Master how I was supposed to be a slave when I couldn't do anything to serve Him. Master will be giving up work at the end of January so that He can stay home and keep an eye on me. He doesn't live with me at the moment but He is moving in at the end of January too. Master has an implant in his back for pain relief after an accident 16 years ago which left his knee with nerve damage and severe chronic pain. Master says that when His knee has bad days it will be my turn to look after Him. That being said, I both take and teach judo and Master has just joined me! I have also got some joint problems including a problem with my jaw that makes things like oral sex and gags practically impossible. W/we are trying to work around those too......looking into alternative gags that won't force my jaw open too much. Where there is a will there is a way! My Master allows me to post on the forums but He reads all messages before they are sent and will revoke this privilege if He so desires at any time. 13 Dec 07, 3:56 AM dmsc1248 4 yrs I am legally blind from Glaucoma not being diagnosed in time. Took all of my sight in the right eye and have a 2 degree visual field in the left. Despite all this I look positive in life and in being a good Master. Your Master made a wise choice in taking away your hearing aids. He really cares about you for doing so.
