Slaves With Disabilities? (44)
This post is on the M/s D/s O&P web board.

Are there any slaves here like me (female) with disabilities? i have been waiting patiently for seven days to post and would like to know how you deal with your disability from day to day and any special allowences your Master makes for you. i have been legally deaf (80% in one ear, 65% in the other) since i was young and have worn two hearing aids my whole life. Because of this i also have a speech impairment.
When i came to my Master i was depressed, angry with the world, confused and had been basically abused by two former Master's who couldn't deal with my problem. My new Master took away my hearing aids and plunged me into silence which is how i learned to calm down and learn patience. That may sound cruel to some but it worked for us. i don't have to worry about the rest of the world every minute of the day or what i'm missing and can focus completely on serving my Master.
What works for you?

Hi maryanne glad your 7 days is up & that you can now join us, welcome.
i dont have a physical disability, but a mental one. (which is awkward (sp) because no one can see whats going on in my head so they just think im weird LOL )
anyways,, i was diagnosed as manic depressive about 12 years ago but im called a rapid cycler thats stuck in a manic phase. which means i have many many manic days each month. Master takes this into consideration when it comes to my behaviour. (which is REALLY good when ive had a "on top of the world & invinceable" day or two & forgot my place a time or two... or three *smiles coyly* lol
Hes a little more forgiving to certain actions than He would be if it were a calm day.
as for what works for me? umm... Lithium & Buddhism
im studying Buddhism & working on meditation. as i get better at it, i think, with the power of mind, i may not have as many highs or manic phases *crosses fingers*
oh yeah... what your new Master did? i dont think it was cruel at all, in fact quite brilliant. more so since it made you feel better about yourself & find some peace congrats on finding a good master.
~peace~ the sting of His whip~
the welts from His crop~
the warmth of His kiss~
the click of the lock~
assures me i am His most cherished possession.

I'm so glad that you are with some one now who was willing to help you find that peace. 902-660-194 was right it was not crule of him at all.
While I do now have a current dibilitating disability. I have always had joint problems. Especially with my right side. My father was adopted and has many of the same issues I have so we always thought it might be hereditary. And my fathers condition worsend he was told he could not work anymore at the age of 37. At 40 he was told he could have a genetic form of arthritis.
I grew up left home and married Master. After only a couple of years of seeing me suffer in pain. And a few months after our son was born, we finally agreed that the problem sould be looked into farther. We had a genome test done on my DNA. Only to find that I too have a defective Genome on my DNA causing arthritis, its DNA code is HLA-B27. I take anit-inflamitoris and have begun to see a Rheumatologis. As of now only the pain is a problem. I can possibly look forward to spondila arthropathy (the fusion of my lower vertibra), neropathy (loss of nerve ending-thus loss of feeling in extrematies) and possibly early hip and knee replacements. My father already has the neropathy, and spondila arthropathy. But refuses knee replacement.
Some days Iam alowed slack on my duties if I am not feeling well. But I try not to let it affect what will undoubtably become the "better years". As to prolong my wellness I have recently been informed that when I am ready to return to working Iam NOT allowed to work in resturaunt anymore, and even a retail job would be questionable. Master would prefer that I get an office job, so I,m not on my feet all day. And as things progress we will probably be making changes to our lives. As Master says to me "We will deal with it as it comes, but it will be alright"

That was an extremely wise move on your Master's part. As I'm certain you know, many of the deaf (and I don't think that is the PC word, but I'm not PC) resent, with a tremendous passion, being forced to try and participate in the world of the hearing, from the hearing persons point of view. you can't hear, don't try. If you don't know ASL learn, there is a community with support out there.
I'm not deaf, although of an age when hearing loss is appearing, but I have worked with the deaf a lot. On one project out leader was the head of the National Captioning Institute, quite a guy. He had to use two ASL interperters because one could only keep up with him for about an hour at a stretch.
Also, while my first slave was not deaf, I had taugh her to respond to hand signals, and of course as a slave she had to be careful to make certain she observed them. This can be done in an otherwise vanilla scene, the slave is talking to the pastor and you signal you want another drink. Have your Master think of the possiblities.

i agree that that was very wise of your master to do. at my school there are a number of deaf and hard of hearing students there, and i am friends with one of them. i seperate the two terms, because to me, they are totally different. someone who is deaf has no hearing at all without a hearing aid and very little with one. where as someone who is hard of hearing can't hear certian pitches without a hearing aid and can hear reasonably well with one. that is from what i have observed at my school at least. the ones who are totally deaf get annoyed with the ones who are hard of hearing when they too claim to be deaf.
i think the deaf want to be accepted for who they are. there are many different ways that they can participate in a lot of the same stuff hearing people do (watch 'Mr. (something's can't remember his name) Opus'). to be plunged in a world of total silence like your master did for you i could see as quite freeing. but as my Master says (and i do not have a hearing problem or anything like that) i am to only worry about what he says, thinks and wants. so could your peace be due to you being able to give up that control to your master where he will let you 'hear' what he wants you to and having peace in that?

Not only is your Master very wise but it would appear to fellatia that He truly cares about you and is committed to making you the best slave possible. What more can a slave ask for? <wink>
A verry warm welcome to the board!!

Wow, so much support. Someone mentioned living in the country. my Master and i live in the foothills above the San Francisco bay area on 10 acres of secluded property. since i am never allowed to wear clothes at home i can go anywhere around the property naked, even on the cow paths (lol). Another person mentioned the caring my Master has for me. i consider myself a very lucky girl to have found him. We met through personal ads. Since Master and i rarely communicate verbally, there isn't an hour that goes by that he doesn't slip his arms around me and kiss my neck, or lift my chin as i sit in silence at his feet and tells me he loves me. i can read his lips. Someone else mentioned American Sign Language... i am fluent but Master has no reason to learn more than the basics. We spend quiet evenings and weekends together as i'm not allowed to speak without permission anyway besides, i have my routines, tasks, assigments and chores to keep me busy and i work a lot in the garden. Master checks my work and punishes me for my mistakes. When He does take me out (usually about once a week) i am never allowed to speak and defer all decisions to him. Thanks for all the support.

A young kansas slavegirl I know has MS and is only capable of small movements, like controlling the joystick on her wheelchair. She needs feeding, washing, toilet and full-time care, but also needs to lead as much of a slave life as possible.
I'm pleased to report that she's currently under consideration from a carer who is learning the ropes, its been very difficult for her to find a sane partner willing to beat her; most are too busy feeling sorry for her, or just plain disturbing themsleves! In the end, grit and determination has worked.
Life with disability is more straightforward for dominants - the most famous probably being Jon Jacobs who was a prevalent poster on early internet forums, co-author of 'Different Loving' and quite a character. He died a while back still trying to type while blind, wheelchair bound and in financial difficulties, but still a capable owner of a loving slave and mentor to many who respected him. |

If only I'd known this was here, I wouldn't have added a new post!
I am dual sensory impaired, I have limited sight and hearing. In addition I have arthritis which is steady getting worse.
I am so much looking forward to my interview with my prospective Master and Mistress when I come off holiday! Edited 26 Jul 06, 9:53 PM by 172-794-377

curious... well, i guess the mentally impaired are more common....
i am bipolar, and i must say Master is the one thing that trully holds me together and keeps me from doing further harm to myself, wether going thru hipomania or depression...
no matter what the shrinks may think... (i have found, you can find happiness in slavery)
