Anyone know of any good sites or books to learn the art of Japanese Rope tieing? I'm pretty good at basic rope work, but I want to learn the more intricate stuff. It looks really cool, and I think it will look great on my boy. |

There are some sites others have already pointed you to. Tatu is very, very good.
Other than that, it really depends on what your goal is. If it is to make your bondage more intricate and prettier, a lot of it is simply your own fantasy. Just do whatever you like and what feels good and right. That's what many people mean when they say "Japanese rope tying".
If you want to go all the way, so to speak, see if you can find somebody who will teach you shibari - it will involve a lot more than rope tying, though; there is a whole culture and history and terminology involved, too. Shibari is derived from a centuries-old martial art form, and just as karate or aikido is quite structured.
Somebody else recommended Shibaricon. It's a great event if you are after learning more and better general rope bondage. Despite the name, there are very few people who actually do shibari there.

This youtube channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/twistedmonkcom , has some good instructional videos to begin with.
Perhaps they would be of use? |
