However, I also see some discussions in books about where slaves should be marked (registry number on the right butt cheek). I wonder if there are any conventions for tattoo placements such as ownership icons, barcodes, organizational patterns, coats-of-arms, ... If there are no conventions, maybe there are popular places that could serve as defacto conventions? Some areas could be the back of the neck, left hip, left shoulder, above the genitals, or the left buttcheek. But there really isn't any conventional location. I completely agree that it is the decision of the Dominant/Master as to the placement. Perhaps the thread would be better served by opening up the question, what are Y/your favorite places to mark or if you are a sub/slave/owned, where are you marked and with what? This way when you walk in the left side and slightly back the marks can be seen to match. Not sure anyone does that anymore. Since we have a semi-Gorean (hopes she doesnt get bashed) life....I was hoping to have a small mark on the upper left thigh as that is the normal marking place for Gorean kajirae.
