Thanksgiving.
Long story short it's where Americans give thanks to the English for inventing them.
You're welcome. My name is Lord Uther, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!

rhua He is the Artist, my flesh His canvas; His dominance, my submission; His intelligence/knowledge/experience, my ability to learn; His strength, my flexibility. I am a work in progress, being recreated by a Master Craftsman.

Ummmm, yeah.... About that ya little shit stirrer....
You gave us all your uptight over zealous pious jackoffs. And you want a 'thank you'? Don't thank so! You can have them back. Free of charge! But I want to know something.... Do you English folk still cry like babies on July 4th?
Oh. And you're welcome for saving your asses in a couple world wars.... Respect is default. Communication is mandatory. Understanding is enlightenment.

No we got enough over zealous pious jackoffs over here, they're called the Tory party, thank you, you can have some if you want...?
No-one actually won WWI, an armistice was signed. And it was because of US interference at the Treaty of Versailles that completely tore Germany apart economically that lead to the circumstances that led to the rise of Hitler...and it was the Russians that captured Berlin that ended the war in Europe

Nobody may have won, but we have to come save your butts every once in a while. There is a very humbling and large WWI memorial in Kansas that I'd go to occasionally. Does a really good job at showing how much of a hell for everyone WWI was and just how stupidity and dumb luck and start a world war. Respect is default. Communication is mandatory. Understanding is enlightenment.

I think the saddest part of WW1 was that it started for no real reason & achieved nothing except wreck the lives of 10's of millions of people My name is Lord Uther, king of kings:

Valyrian101 -- Reminds me of the "Lisa's Wedding" Simpson's episode. - Moe the "bartender: Oho, an English boy, huh? You know, we saved your ass in World War II."
- Hugh St. John Alastair Parkfield: "Yeah, well, we saved your arse in World War III."
- Moe the bartender: "That's true."
I don't really like the closest WWI memorial to where I live, because it has rather strange symbolism, portraying honest corn-fed American doughboys as some kind of Roman galley slaves....
