(I'm most interested in TENS-type units and not violet wands, although any and all comments are appreciated.) Most commercial units are designed for massage, muscle therapy and pleasure, but sometimes it's unclear whether their "high" settings are sufficient to deliver a painful shock. I also understand that some areas of the body are more sensitive than others, and care must be used to avoid injury. My interest is primarily for sex play involving the genitals. One be careful there are no cardiac problems or a pacemaker or defibrillator implant. Master studied violet wands and eventually nixed it because it still can cause minor burns and there a couple other issues He had with it. There is also a random spike problem with things using AC current in the wall. A recent death (last couple of weeks) of an experienced Electrical torture guy happened because of it. (nor violet wand) The TENS units can not only cause a painful shock, but can cause tendon and muscle damage. i was trained and used TENS for 20 years professionally and an occasional patient would not follow the safety and tear a muscle or tendon. i would be REALLY pissed if that happened to my genitals. This is not to say don't do it- but learn about it, use it on yourself for large muscle groups first as most units take almost imperceptible movement of the dial to cause a fast intensity rise and you NEVER want to change frequencies and modes while in use. They also cause burns if used too long or not enough electrode gel. Master burned Himself leaving it on too high too long for His neck pain. LOL Got them to torture me with and ended up using it on Himself for pain management instead of infliction. i was probably the only clinician who DIDN'T shock anyone in their career because i am so paranoid of electricity i always double and triple checked the controls. SS TENS, Estim and Interferential Russian Stima re all available in the US. I would recommend E-stim as I know hey have a plethora of wonderful attachments available. Many of these are for internal stimulation. SS
