I have never had a first meet as an interview as most of the ones I have had have been informal. Is there any general rules on etiquette that I should be aware of? It is also important to remember that you are interviewing her just as much as she is interviewing you. The purpose of this meeting is for each of you to get a better understanding of what the other is looking for. I would suggest having questions for her that are meaningful to you; like her future plans and what provisions will be made in the event of catastrophic illness. Get to know her like you would anyone else you are seeking a relationship with. As always, if she asks you to do something you are uncomfortable with it is okay to decline. She doesn't own you yet. After all if She is on the up and up, She should understand this. Also i was asked what my expectations were...i was not prepared for this question but maybe you will be...think hard about this because this can be a life changing decision that you do not want to enter into lightly.
