Although I am not looking for a new slave I still get numerous memos from wanna be slaves.

However very few of them have any idea of how to approach a Mistress. Do they really think that a message which just says "I want to be your slave" would make me want them? Particularly when their profile gives no information about them.

Surely they should realise that they must give some information about themselves and what service they think they can offer. Most don't even say what they fantasize about getting let alone what I might require.

If they want to end up serving a Mistress I think they are all going to have to try much harder.

If its any consolation it applies to Masters as well! Occasionally you receive a message that has been well considered and includes the relevant basic information. All too often its a terse "offer" or worse still a demand for use. The only consolation is that it makes it very easy to sort out which are genuine.

Thankfully I'm flooded with non of this stuff or instead of being happy to see the Memo button flash at me, I'd be dreading it.

Respect is default. Communication is mandatory. Understanding is enlightenment. Est Solaris Oth Mithas!

Out of curiosity, not to derail the thread, but hopefully to run in the same vein, what would you consider the BARE MINIMUM amount of information you would find acceptable? I'm sure that varies from person to person. Slaves, even, when being contacted by a Dom/me, what's the minimum amount of information that you would expect on a first memo? I know that I've received nothing but "Where do you live" in a memo before. Nothing about who they were or what they were expecting. I may have been the perfect fit and willing to relocate, but that turned me off of the person. So basically, what do you look for?

I always find a bit of slack needed here, because some and i use the word loosely,Are fairly new or new ,do not understand protocols or procedures .Talk to them if they dont flick the switch,, bye bye or advise on where to go .Advise is free a few seconds can make or break someones day...

I quite agree a bit of slack is needed as well as basic manners. I never ignore a message out of basic courtesy. However given the proposed situation I would have thought common sense would imply that an "applicant" should fill in some details and manage to be polite. Unfortunately the "where are you" and I want a session on (fill in day date) are worryingly common.

Or am I being an old fuss arse?

I'm either blessed or cursed, I get neither. :)

Believe it or not, though i am clearly listed as a slave in all the websites i get approached too. Pretty much the same way. i think they are horny (mostly men) who may or may not even be submissive but hope to get a hot conversation going. Some may actually want an "M" type- but i think they are thinking with their dongs. i have another friend slave who says that happens to her too. There is supposed to be 12 sub men for every M/D type so maybe they just troll around hoping for a bite. It is pretty stupid because i can't see why anyone of integrity would fall for it.
