TSR : Web boards : Website help : "QR Codes on Certificates"
QR Codes on Certificates (9)
This post is on the Website help web board.

TSR Certificates now include QR Code images. These encode the URL of the certificate's web page on the TSR site. QR Codes can be scanned by many smartphone apps which then open up a web browser showing the page referred to, and they're increasingly being used in magazine ads etc.
There are also direct links to QR Code PNG files from profile pages (if the profile has an SLRN of course.)
The QR Codes have been tested using a couple of iPhone apps, but I'd appreciate it if anyone already using QR Codes could test them too. They should scan well off a printed certificate, and should also be scannable straight off the screen.
Thanks,
Tanos, as Admin www.slaveregister.com

For those who use Android O/S phones/tablets there is an app called 'QR Droid Private' that is remarkably good at decoding and displaying data from a QR code on a webpage or other document. I use it on my HTC Desire and it works fine certainly on documents.

Those on the Palm WebOS, two programs are available. ScanCode being the simpler(and better) of the two. , Celtic Sir.

Make sure you tell the Lawyer which of your profiles you are owned under.

Tanos -- many thanks for this. As an owner, I am very keen on any step which helps to regulate slave ownership, and this is a great step forward. Will I have to re-do the bar codes for my existing stock, or will their existing bar codes suffice?
Many thanks,
DrakaMaster

Tanos,
ScanCode(for HP's Web OS) works from the cert and from the screen (provided there isn't a great glare from the lights). It also allows you to import it in from an image folder.
I've been using QR Codes for a bit, for other things, I'm glad to have an easy(and discreet) way to access my sub's certificate. , Celtic Sir.
