Its been a part of my life for so long that those who have an acquaintance with me have long since stopped asking. I'm happy to tell anyone who questions though, and therefore i consider them all well-informed. I'll handle a workplace situation exactly the same. Humans are similar to canines in a lot of ways - if you show nervousness or anxiety or even embarassment when questioned on collars, people pick up on it and react accordingly. My sister slave and I wear matching collars for our master. Explaining the collar has not been a challenge to explain we just are honest. I have been lucky my family are all in the community but when my sister slave first joined a poly household it was difficult how to decide what to explain to the vanilla world.
