Love this time of year as I get to buy my fav candles! Spiced apple & cinnamon!
So what's your favourite thing for this time of year? My name is Lord Uther, king of kings:

Ahhh, the trick is to get enough candles to last the year.
My favourite thing(s) (sorry, but you did ask) at this time of year:
1.Baking!! I love to bake and at this time of year I go on a bake-a-thon. Yup, all the Christmas favourites. Usually two or three different things a day until I am done. Then I pack some festive tins and give them to selected neighbours, a few friends and Master takes them to work.
2. Shopping for presents. I have started now so I can find unusual things that I know won't be there when the rush starts. I love watching them being opened.
3. Going to our glorious Canadian Rocky Mountains to spend Christmas. (Home for me before meeting Master plus Master loves this one too!!)
Fresh mountain air, snow all around, a crackling fire, spiced mulled wine and dear friends.
Oh, oh, sorry, one more.... decorating the tree!! I am a bit particular about how it looks, lol, but it's so pretty when done.
Ok done. lol 333-528-841

Aye but then I wouldn't have this time of year to look forward to em
And do you need my address to send that care package of baked goodies to? One thing I miss about my nan...she may have been a mega bitch, but she could fucking bake! I'm pretty convinced she used to bake so much cos she thought that if she didn't we wouldn't go round so much...she probably right too! lol
Just about to do one of my other fav things, can you guess what it is yet?
That's right! It's something long & hard to suck on wiv something hot & wet...yep a nice bubbly bath with a cigar, good book & a bottle of Irish pear cider Might put on a bit of Garth Brooks to listen too aswell!
Bliss!!! My name is Lord Uther, king of kings:

Yaaay, fun topic! I JUST answered this on my blog, so copying and pasting here!
1. The "smell." This may sound odd, but there is just a smell in the air when Autumn and Winter roll around. When I open the window or step out of the door and get filled with that clean, fresh air I just instantly feel in a more holiday-ish mood.
2. Pumpkins! Seeing big, ready to be carved, pumpkins in front of the grocery store is always sure to get me in the holiday spirit. I'll admit, I'm not great at pumpkin carving. But I love doing it! And Halloween is my favorite holiday.
3. Eggnog! I love eggnog and when I go into the store and see a big bottle of Eggnog or even better, Pumpkin Spice Eggnog, I get so excited. I know Thanksgiving and Christmas is right around the corner! (And I've started getting eggnog for Halloween too!)
4. Fresh snow, mmm! Before working from home, I kinda dreaded snow. The roads would be covered in ice, there would be dirty black snow everywhere and oh, yeah know, my work wouldn't let me stay in the store after shift so I'd have to freeze my ass off while waiting for my beloved heroine! (And I'd be worried about her driving in the blizzards and such!) But, even than, there was nothing like fresh now. And now that I can wake up, look out the window and see a few feet of snow... and shrug, put on warm comfy clothes and make coffee before plopping onto my computer to work, I enjoy it much more! I also love how snow lights up the night and the peaceful silence of it.
5. Pictures! I'm a picture person. I can spend hours taking, editing and looking at pictures. And I really love seeing holiday inspired shots. Whether this is of pumpkins, lights, holiday food, trees, people celebrating, etc. Plus there are a few seasonal photo shoots clover and I plan on doing this year if we have our own apartment for the holidays. ^_-
6. Music! From "Pumpkin Head Harvey" to "All I Want For Christmas is You" to "Leroy The Redneck Reindeer" I love them all.
7. The gifts! And no, not just getting them. I love giving gifts, I love surprising people, I love picking out the perfect present. One year I got a basket and hand picked tons and tons of make-up for clover(make-up is her crack!) Things I knew she used, things I thought she would use and a few random things that were a different style, so she could play with them. I also put in lotions, bath stuff and clothes. She LOVED it. And I loved that!
8. Lindt Chocolate... Oh my god. Their white chocolate truffles. Oh. My. God.
9. The clothing! I love looking at holiday clothes. This year, I want a fancy bright silk shirt (thinking maybe in dark forest green or bright blue?) And I want something with sequins. I want to fucking rock this holiday season!
10. The warmth. I love the holidays, I love sharing them with clover and our kitty more than anything. I also love sharing them with (some :P) other family members. Live, love, laugh and celebrate! Happy Holidays! Owner of 465-186-919. My beautiful wife and slave <3

For me..
1. Football all day Thanksgiving Day.
2. Parades
3. 24 hours of "Christmas Story"..Xmas eve-Xmas Day
4. Food..any and all...lol.
5. Charity work...I always organized a few things like a pet food drive for the animal shelters (Thanksgiving) and an angel tree for needy families through work (Xmas)...I will miss that this year.
Oh, great now I'm homesick, but I have a feeling I'll find Christmas Story in my shoe for Sinterklaas...In Holland Sinterklaas begins Nov.13th ends Dec. 6th. You put a shoe by the fireplace and get little gifts each day. The great thing is I now have all new traditions to look forward to and I bet a few old ones find there way here as well. |

The time off from work and the fact that others take time off around this time of year at my company means that my job is very relaxed and quiet.
I also like going out to watch the shoppers whip themselves up into a shopping frenzy. Good people watching to be had this time of year!
Fall and Winter, the food, and last but not least... spending time with my family.
