While hypnosis is certainly possible, it takes a lot of research in order for it to work. Not only do you have to do a lot of research into the subject's background, you also have to do a lot of research on how to use hypnosis properly. I say yes and no because some people have a natural immunity to hypnosis and therefore cannot be hypnotized. Also, if the subject would not normally do what you're trying to hypnotize them into doing, the subject's mind will naturally fight any attempt at hypnotizing them, thus making it either extremely difficult or impossible for the hypnosis to work. Hypnosis will also fail if the subject does not agree to the use of hypnosis because the mind will again fight it even more than it would if you were trying to hypnotize them into doing something they wouldn't normally do. I suggest taking this slowly that way he can adjust to things easier than he would if you were to rush the transition. Some people with bad sexual history just need time to adjust to things and reassurance that they can trust you.
