if your Master told you to vote a certain way because they felt it benefited the household the most to vote that way...
would you, or would you not do it if it went against how you'd have voted on your own?
do you believe your obedience is applicable to things like this as well? |

Hmmmm... that's a hard one. I think I would follow my Master's orders.
Granted, if I felt differently, I would voice this to him and try to have him explain to me why he feels his point of view is the one that is best for the household. I would have an open discussion with him regarding the issues. Ultimately, if we both vote differently though, we would just be canceling the other's vote out.
Unless it is a major major issue that I feel passionately about though, I think I would follow his guidance. - Slave In Training

oooh this is a very difficult one indeed! on the other hand, this girl does not hold much for politics as it stands and probably woudl do as she's told without thinking about it twice. if Master reckons that it is beneficial to the household then girl will want to make the contribution as is needed.
it is 'easy' for this girl to say though, as she does not vote at all. We are all vanilla to some degree - for society will keep a foothold in our lives. We are all Dom/mes or slave/sub on some level, as there is ALWAYS someone weaker or stronger than you...

Well, for me i'm allowed to vote how i chose, however on most things we agree and end up voting the same way anyway.
However being that i'm newer to this area and dont know a lot about local people/offices and tax levys i do ask for advice and vote how He is going to vote.
ive never missed an election no matter where i was living and its important to Master and i both that i vote every chance i get. Even if He did instruct me on how or who to vote for i would have no issue with it, especially now since i'm disabled and not working, i dont pay taxes (except sales tax of course) but He does so it does affect our household. |

i would cast the vote without much thought, to be honest. If i had questions, i could ask them. i would trust there was a reason, probably based on research, He had done.

This topic has been on here several times before, actually.
My slave votes how I tell him to. His vote is a resource of mine to use, just like everything else of his.
-Raven Kaldera -If you're in charge, it's all on your head. If it's not all on your head, then you're not really in charge.

Master and I tend to agree on our views so it is not something that has really come up. We already vote the same way.
I suppose even if I wasn't traditionally a follower of that particular party, if the outcome was in the best interest of our household, I would certainly do as he asked.
Our political system in Canada is different than in the U.S. so it is important to listen to the candidates and see who will be best for our province (provincial elections) or for the country. (federal elections)
Sometimes the party you vote for provincially is different than who you would vote for in a federal election. (I think this is more common in Western Canada) 333-528-841

I don't vote for the same reasons I don't engage in many things that represent personal power - C doesn't feel it's compatible with the mindset he wants me to have. I'd be very surprised if he asked me to vote for (or even do) a thing I felt was wrong but if he did, I wouldn't do it.

i'm republican. if i was instructed to vote liberal then i'd respectfully request to decline voting.
Theres no way i'd vote the John Kerrys and Obamas(no he's not "liberal" but is against most of my beliefs)of the world into office.
I'd rather be whipped. |

I agree that it is a difficult one and the answers will range widely. Personally, I prefer very bright, capable women ... the one kneeling at my feet is seen by the world as a "Warrior Princess."
My alpha as voted her on her own without my comment for many, many years. I support that ... I would not want to own one whose vote should not be counted.

Master and I discuss politics. I am very politically active. I would discuss how I intended to vote and even seek his opinion on political matters, but at the end of the day I vote as I see fit. I am a firm believer in political freedom of the individual regardless of their status and/or, in this case, personal relationship. Too many people have given their lives for this political freedom for it to be arbitrarily removed by another for any reason. With courage you will dare to take risks, have the strength to be compassionate, and the wisdom to be humble. Courage is the foundation of integrity. - Keshavan Nair
