I was thinking about something similar the other day, 'Slave Auctions' its a word but do they happen in this day and age? (maybe underground) Here this some charitable events run by women have auctions, where they bid, for example on a guy to do 'chores' (or whatever they desire I guess) but that ins't illegal! So why couldn't a Master/Mistress who know longer requires their slave through say end of short term position or exchange them for a different one etc, to auction the slave off, instead of just reintroducing the slave back into 'normal' life??? Maybe its the word 'slave' that gets the authorities interest!

As for paying them like under a job contract, aka the employer (Master/Mistress) would have to have a basic work contract (most found online) which also states the basics like breaks, holiday, working hours and pay which must not be below minimum wage! So paying a £1 an hour is also illegal, however, if you have an employee under your roof and their job title is changed for law purposes to servant/cook/cleaner/butler etc they would still pay for their board and lodgings to the 'employer' so you can pay them but obtain it back through board and lodgings..! However, Mr Taxman would be displeased if he wan't getting his cut (if Taxman found out)... Cash in hand still goes on, not just for immigrants either.

I had a discussion with a Master who got a bit unlucky with some D/s relations over the last years and he made the remark that he got frustrated and wanted to go back in time to the old days where one could simply select & buy a slave from a oriental market (ok, maybe he was himself to blame for messing up those relations, but that's not the discussion here.. :)

It made me think: buying a slave nowadays is a criminal offense, but still a slave would be allowed to sell herself 24/7 to the highest bidder. To do that for a life time might not be feasible for both sides, but I guess for a fixed (short) period it could theoretically be possible for both parties. A sort of 24/7 paid job for an X-period based upon a contract with regulates everything between Master and slave. A contract which covers all, from the intervals of payments to arrive at slave's bank account, rules for termination the contract, slave's visits & phone calls to others, how a slave should behave in public, etceteras, etceteras. Just a a 'normal' legally job contract which protects the rights of both employer and employee; set-up, agreed & signed by both.

Did anybody hear if this ever was implemented in reality and if so how did that work out?

NOTE: edited (read my post underneath) because the description 'job' is misleading; 'paid service' is a better choice.

I know of a young woman who has done this slavery for pay big time. As a child she was sexually abused by her father. Upon leaving home she soon hit on the idea of contracting out as a slave to very well off older men or couples. Her contracts seem to be for two or three years. Of course they are not legal in law. She is paid monthly with an automatic deposit. I have no idea if she pays taxes, unemployment insurance , and the like. I never asked. When I ran across her, she was a few months into her second contract. This time with a wealthy couple. Her duties seemed to be light, They sounded to be akin to a personal assistant situation. However, there was some sexual use and punishment for disobedience or bad behavior. She got a day off now and then to look after personal matters. Her "employer" had her wear a different color of the same costume for each day of the week. The costume consisted of a short tennis style skirt, midriff baring top and sneakers, all matching in color. No underwear allowed. She told me that she hoped to have enough money to retire in her thirties and then do whatever she wanted. Ever hear of anyone else who was able to successfully do something similar?

Yeah.. something like this was on my mind when I started this topic. Ideally it should be win-win for all, where people who have the money can afford themselves to 'buy' a slave and where a slave likes to be slave and gets paid while going along. Ok.. it is not a relation.., but to my opinion the simple fact that you can 'buy' or be 'bought' gives an additional dimension to those who get attracted by it.

Relax, life is too short to get upset.
