(Sat 6th or Sun 7th March) If there's sufficient demand, then I'd hope people would organise one-off events themselves in other parts of the country. Does that sound interesting? Anyone have more ideas or suggestions about events? Probably best to reply on the IC thread if you've a membership there. A munch (shortened from the original "burger munch" in Palo Alto in the early 1990s) is an informal meeting of BDSM people, organised via the internet. In the UK, they are typically without any structure: there's a start time and rough finish time, and people come and a go. A few have some kind of demonstration (eg someone doing some rope work) but they're very much in the minority. One common complaint is people don't talk about BDSM that much at munches - probably because BDSM is so broad, and small talk and what events people are going to are more likely to be common ground. There are lots of munches like that here already, so there's no point in duplicating that structure. The O&P Meeting is an attempt to try to have some of the O&P-D/s-M/s conversations we have on sites like this, but face-to-face, plus some social time of course.
