No, you've done nothing wrong, it's simply the way the system works; it assumes all the letters in a mame are in the same case, regardless. Search mine in 'Lookup' to try this out (in any form you like)
Pretty much all you can do, is either make another name on this profile you have now and be more careful in how you type the original name (this is about cosmetics after all), or make an entirely new profile, and merge them because the newest overrides the old; what I'm saying 'is', you can login using either combinaton, because the name is considered taken, and thus is why you couldn't change from upper or lower case, etc.
If all else fails, send a memo to Admin, to see if they can help.
Regards,
Sean.

Yeah, I have a similar problem.
The name on my profile is Sklavos mou Kyriah but I have since learnt the correct Greek is Sklavos tis Kyrias and try as I might the system won't change it. I gave up in the end. The name means "My Lady's slave". If I could use Greek characters life would be simpler.
However, you all know who I am anyway. To be a true slave is to be truly free

We do?
..oh yeah...we do!
(P'raps it's all Greek to us anyway. Meh.)

Same problem here! i had no trouble creating a profile with just a SLRN, but several attempts to add my slave name produced no results whatsoever! Not even an error message.
i am called "slave jonathan".... if, by chance the name is already taken, woulden't it be immaterial; given that my SLRN is unique? |

Greetings,
this slave has discovered what his problem was with the name change. slave was attempting to enter his name as two seperate groups of letters; i.e. "slave jonathan".
Aparantly, this site will not allow that, though this slave has not seen any specific reference to that by the site owner/manager. slave found that, if one enters a continuous line of text in the "New Name" space, it is accepted. Two-part names can be entered with a symbol between them.
In this slave's case, he used an "underscore" to accomplish this and it worked. This slave's Certificate now shows "slave_jonathan" as his name instead of the default SLRN!
slave hopes this helps those of You/you suffering a similar bewilderment! |
