Am I the only one who thinks 1,200 calories a day is too restrictive even for weight loss? (200 calories 6 times a day) If not fed enough, the body starts losing muscle weight and clinging to the fat stores for dear life. Congrats on the weight loss, just be careful, eh?

1200cal/day basically puts the body into starvation mode. According to the Standard of the American College of Sports Medicine that is the absolute "floor" for caloric intake to still have weight loss possible.

not a weight problem!!!!!!

i have same problem and i cannot do it without twisting my shoulder and in pain. As for the weight i am 53 sooo nope not the weight thing and i know it is not the weight.

It is more the format of your spine and arms rather than of the weight....of course it could be the weight a bit on the way...but be prepared that it might not that the problem.

Maybe a bit exercise, yoga exercise helps a lot to gain flexibility ..step by step :).

As for yoga...it helps you to reduce weight and reduce your appetite.... so it is worth to give a try.

I was just thinking it may be something with the shoulders or maybe even posture. I've got a great deal of stiffness in my shoulders from years of bartending and waitressing (hey, those trays aren't light nor those kegs) and back issues from an injury. Flexibility is not my friend. Regardless of weight I've always had issues with certain movements. I would go with what others have suggested with regards to devices other than rope.

I have to agree with what mamabear wrote. Not everyone has the fexibility required for having the hands or arms tied together regardless of the excersises or yoga done.

I can't have my hands tied behind my back period due to having a torn rotator cuff and envy those who can. I have gained some fexibility with physio but it will never happen. You make do with what your limitations are.

Have a great night all. :)
