| I read many posts and see many automatic gender terms for various roles.
I try as often as i can unless replying to a specific post use both sexes for the Owners and the slaves.
There are many Owners of both sexes and slaves of both sexes in relationships to same or different gender.
A Master won't naturally have a female slave and a Mistress won't naturally have a male slave.
Also in the terminology it is often assumed that a gay male slave must naturally be a bottom and a Master must be a top, this can not and is not the case - i will explain :
a Master by His very nature gets what He wants so if He is in the mood to be passive then by His role He gets what He wants. Ownership is about mindset and not about sexual role.
A gay male slave technically should be versatile so that he can live up to any demand/order given to him and not be one or other as that is restrictive.
Now if this was totally abhorrent and against the grain one would then have to consider Mistresses and male slaves, now although there are such toys like strapons and other such things there is a point when a Mistress may want to make use of Her slave and will order it to satisfy Her - this could be considered as a weakness but it isn't.
Many times i find that people confuse sexual role with mindset. i am a slave not because i have an arse but because i have a submissive mindset.
A Master or a Mistress is as such because of Their dominant mindset.
The real life aspect of slavery means that there is more to do then spend 24/7 in bed.
In the Gorean lifestyle slaves are often used for many other duties apart from sex and this is reflected in real life activities.
