It is really up to your Master/Mistress to decide what is the appropriate punishment. You may be asked to say what punishment you think is appropriate as a form of mental punishment after which Master/Mistress decides. Bear in mind some Dom(mes) may have a distinctly sadistic streak and after hearing your suggestion say something along the lines of, "Now there's a good idea, never thought of that." They could be dreaming up a way of refining it. Be careful what you ask for. Most tend to go with a less severe punishment for a less severe infraction and more severe for more severe infraction. Punishment in my mind should always be real and something which is hated and detested by the sub/slave. Nothing else will work. If you are a slave, you need to question why would your D/O/M need to punish much for serious rule breaking. Most lifestyle 24/7 subs/slaves take their duties to their D/O/M very seriously and would rarely if ever need punishment for a serious breach of rules. Paul gets the same punishment which he hates and makes him cry if he breaks a rule, forgets a rule or is disobedient in a minor way. He is beaten with my thick indoors cane, normally only 2 to 6 strokes. He is extremely obedient and wonderfully submissive and well behaved and I generally only punish him about three times a year. 25 Jun 09, 6:10 PM Nomadd 2 yrs I just try to find a punishment that fits the infraction. It hasn't been said in this thread yet, and that --^ told me it was time to reiterate this point. Punishment should -never- be carried out while the D/O/M is angry. There is far too much chance for things to get out of hand, real damage be done, etc. Be safe, ppl =) -Shea 28 Jun 09, 8:06 PM Sklavos_mou_Kyriah 3 yrs Good point Shea Physical punishment administered in anger could well prove harmful. That is why it is a good idea to have set between D/O/M and slave a protocol where disipline/punishment is carried out in some sort of ritual. That way the D/O/M is acting "in cold blood". From my own experience, being put through this sort of ritual, kneeling before a not angry Lady Mistress makes me feel most wretched. Not something I care to repeat too often. For minor faults like say, not getting My Lady's coffee ready on time I may be told to kneel on my cushion and stay there until told to move. It helps to remind me what I am.
