Whilst most Britons claim to have 16 mates, 48 per cent admit most of those are "out of habit" rather than close pals. I have to admit I have only 5 true friends. These are friends I care deeply about and which I would totally trust and would confide in about personal, financial or work-related problems. I have about 14 casual friends. These are ones I would trust with general advice or invite to parties to make up the numbers, etc. I also have about 100 online friends from the different websites I participate on. Half of these I would only trust for as long as it took me to type out their names, the remaining half even less. I would be greatly interested to know how many true friends do you have? If you have online friends then do you consider any of these to be your true friends? Have you kept in touch with your school friends or do you wish that you had? There's no such thing as failure - just life experiences from which you get stronger!! 6 May 09, 3:55 PM 741-498-880 4 yrs I think I only have 1 I can really confide in completely. the rest, I could confide *most* stuff too. I think my circle of friends is about 20ish that I would talk with... I have my Master, who knows everything thing about me. My ultimate confider. I have two very close friends who know a good 80% about me. I also have a few middling friends (4, I would guess) who know about 50-60% about me. Master is my closest friend, and my second husband and i are still very good friends. Other than Master i have one girl friend that i can tell anything and everything to, and one other girl friend that i can tell anything and everything that does not pertain to M/s, lol :D my old friends that i grew up with....they are gone, my first husband ran them off and i lost track of where they are. and i have another friend that i lost contact with, i could tell her anything, even about M/s...i tried to track her down online but have not had luck so far. i would think that with her having been in the military, i would have an easier time finding her but... have no fear, mobii 9 Jul 09, 12:40 AM slave_of_The_Tesh US(FL), 2 yrs I have one that I can and do trust with absolutely EVERYthing - that's my Master/fiance. I have two that I can trust with almost anything - my two best girlfriends, one of whom I've known for 20 years, and the other for twelve. Then there are the four people Master considers close friends that can be trusted with nearly everything. After that, I have many people that I talk to and consider friends, even if they aren't terribly close, and acquaintances. So far as school friends go, I only still have the two best girlfriends. I've lost contact with most of the ones from my childhood and school years. I've made a lot of friends at college, through work, and online. I find that out when the brown stuff hits the fan. The surprise often is, the real friends sometimes turn out to be the ones you least expect. I had some legal trouble due to my ex a few years back, and I lost a lot of my friends over it because the ex in question had lied to me and to them, and had forced me to cut contact with them. I tried to get in touch with them again after, but they had all decided that I wasn't worth the trouble. The only friends that really lasted were my two best girlfriends; when I met Master, I gained a bunch of new friends. I'm not terribly close with any of them, but I trust the ones that Master trusts.
