We have been D/s for many years, but this is our first public function. i am so very excited about being able to be "out" amongst others but My Lord says i am like a child on Christmas Eve and should curtail my enthusiasm a little so that i am not disappointed. i was wondering of others who have been where i am now - How was your experience the first time? Were your expectations too high? Did you find that being in a D/s or M/s, you were still a minority among other "mainstream BDSM"? Or was it the best time you ever had? My slave and I will also be attending this event and I can tell you from past experience, you and your Lord are going to have a wonderful time. The organizers, demonstrators, speakers, vendors, and attendees are some of the best out there. This is the one BDSM event we look forward to each year. We are both very excited that it's only 2 days away now! Don't hesitate to ask any questions that you may have as we had a lot of questions the first time we attended. I loved every minute of it AND it lead me back to my sister Bella, we had been apart for a long time and we found each other once again there! It was just perfect! My Lords clay I hope you have a great time. It took me quite a few years to enter the scene, as it all felt very private for me. I have certainly never looked back. The diversity of such groups is usually so magnificent that we're all in some minority or other. We love being in a different place where we can just be ourselves and so can everyone else. I enjoy the diversity. My expectations were low in comparison to what it was really like. My Master graciously allowed me to accompany Him to Beyond Leather's 2nd annual convention - i was so excited and thankfully was not disappointed. Although the function seemed to be geared more towards Top / bottom rather than 24/7 M/s, there were seminars and shows that were beneficial for all. And the people . . . i don't think i've ever been amongst such a diverse crowd that were genuinely nice and went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Simply put, it was wonderful. i could never have imagined how freeing it would feel to be able to be my slave self around other people, to sit at My Lords feet and show Him the respect as i so desire to do without watching or wondering who might be around and how they may judge. i'm very proud of who i am and the lifestyle we live and, until being out, i felt like an artist who wasn't allowed to display her work. i'm not looking for applause, but the look on My Masters face when others complimented Him on His slave . . . it's just not something we get when it's just the two of us. And that look, oh it was Priceless (for everything else, there's Masters card). Now having had that opportunity and a taste of being able to be myself without worry, i hope My Master will reward His slave again as events come up.
