TSR : Web boards : Other Topics : "Hello!"
Hello! (8)
This post is on the Other Topics web board.
Sat 28 Mar 09, 4:46 AM Dominnie US, 3 yrs |
Greetings to everyone on these boards. I am Dominnie and this is my first post. (>O.O)> <(O.O<) Dance, dance!
Anyway, a bit about myself... I am almost twenty, live in the US and have plenty of interesting hobbies and interests. One of the biggest interests I have is learning more about D/s, bondage, tying rope, new techniques, you name it...
I am a female, a lesbian and a Dominant. I am always happy to find new friends (and friendship is ALL I am looking for and I will get to more about that in a second...), male or female, young or old, straight or non-straight and everything in-between.
My slave is also my wife. At the moment, she is in a man's body... She was born male, though her mind, heart and soul is that of a female. She is looking into taking hormones, as well as having surgery in the future. She has a wonderfully feminine face and a beautiful hourglass shape which helps with this. She is, however, VERY shy and does not have a lot of confidence that she looks good as her true, feminine self. This is something I am going to help her overcome, I hope. If there is anyone transgender on this board, or anyone that is in-the-know, we would love to hear any advice, etc. that you have to offer.
As for what I am seeking... Friendship. There are so many in this lifestyle and sadly, a lot of what may be common, day-to-day conversations between us, just isn't something you can share with vanilla friends right off the bat. I have been a Dominant and a wife for a couple of years now and a lesbian for even longer. So if anyone is in need of advice, or just would like someone to talk to, I would be glad to help or listen or just talk. ^_^
Other then that... At the moment, I am VERY interested in learning to tie rope bondage. Does anyone know any helpful sites?
Thanks for reading and looking forward to getting to know everyone! Edited Sat 28 Mar 09, 5:19 AM by Dominnie

New members are never going to be aware of old posts or know how things work here straight off the cuff. Isn't that the point, to learn? i thought people who were generally interested in M/s, D/s lifestyle were welcome, why put them off by being hostile?
is it so hard to be nice to new members? or is that me being a little too submissive?
Dominnie, i'll memo you with regards to your post

yeah im kinda agreeing here. my gram always said you have to pick & choose your battles and it seems this is one your never gonna win. i know when i first came here the first thought in my head wasnt "let me look for an introduction thread" tho i never really introduced myself to begin with lol. maybe if there was a way Tanos could lock an intro thread to the top of the list? that would solve the problem & if people didnt intro there, then you could go get em

What you're describing is called a sticky, and they also almost never work :-/ At least in my experience. It is a good idea, however, and it helps the people who actually put some time into it. Plus, as they are often forum rules, it would totally justify ripping into newbs (edit:which I should add I consider myself here ) who violate them Edited 15 Apr 09, 3:00 AM by M_Shea

I second that for a sticky thread, I think people will use it and all the threads we have now on intros alone seems to be a lot.

Honestly, because of the first reply I got in this post, I did not want to keep using this forum. However I logged in to check and see what was going on and I had a really nice memo. So I am staying here for now, since many people can be quite nice. |

Ya know, n offence, but even though we do have the intro threads up and about the place, and I'm a great one for chewin' a newb's head off if they discuss something in the wrong light, this OP 'was' in Off Topic, and so, wasn't this a little harsh b?
It's not as if an LDR topic got sprawled all over the place in Submission or some such.
Extending a hand and re-directing with a reason why is more the way, even for me - and that's saying somethin' (the 'AGAIN' made it a bit hostile, see, as the others said)
Jeez, I must be gettin' old...
Welcome, btw Dominnie.
Sean.
