Hi,

Has anyone personally branded their sub/slave? If so, how did you do it? I've read about putting cigarettes out but I don't think this is hygienic. I'd be interested to get some tips.

Thank you

I've used 2 different ways: a wood burning tool.... properly cleaned and I made my own small branding iron so to speak. Some specialty cooking stores carry branding irons used to mark steaks and such. They carry a selection of letters.

What clectec1 said. Two other comments:

1, Thin metal heated to the proper temperature (red hot) does a better job than something thicker. Those food brands are for marking a steak, but thinner is better. Get some sheet metal and bend it around.

2. Some have used a violet wand with piece of metal to create a very accurate brand. The spark jumps from the tip of the metal to the skin, so if you use something long and narrow, like a skewer, you will have good control over where the spark will land. With a series of sparks, you can slowly etch the mark you desire.

I do professional branding with a cautery pen. That's like the medical version of a wood-burning tool. You get them from medical supply places; there are the cheap disposable versions and the very expensive plug-in varieties. I generally have people buy and bring me a disposable one as part of their fee for the branding.

If you try this yourself, please practice on pieces of soft leather first. Remember that you do not have to press hardly at all - the flesh just sizzles and melts away. If you push hard, you can go down into muscle and damage someone. It's similar to using a scalpel on someone. Be gentle, not rough.

I don't do strike branding, because the equipment is a lot more challenging to pack and take along, and it's harder to get good decorative effects. I know some people who do it, though, and it can be beautiful too.

If you want info on branding in general, I suggest BME (Body Modification Ezine) which is still the greatest online clearinghouse of body-mod info.

(Yes, if you're in my area or in an area where I'm going to be, I will do branding of people in scene.)

People get brands for other reasons than slave stuff. Joshua has a beautiful brand on his deltoid that is a Fibonacci spiral - he's such a geek. I did a brand on a friend on her left chest; it's a snake in a tight spiral, about 2" in diameter. She has problems with mental illness and the spiral is a physical thing over her heart that she can trace to the center with her fingers in hard times, and then trace back out while concentrating on pulling herself out of the "pit".

Both my girl and I have brands. hers were her choice before she met me. hers are "strike brands" where you heat up a piece of metal and hold it to the skin, creating a stripe as if struck. The metal used should be clean and not coated, so don't use a wire hanger! Also, curling a piece of metal into a shape and them stamping it into the skin doesn't work well, either. It's too hard to get it all heated hot enough to truly burn rather than "stick and rip".

Mine are done with a cauterizing pen, which is used for surgeries. You can see pictures here: http://masterfiremaam.com/PageImages/Firebrand/B...

A comment here, because I know you asked about marking: brands are often permanent things. So are tats. Piercings, however, aren't. Since you're starting on this journey with marking, I highly suggest the third option. This way, if it doesn't work and he doesn't want to keep the mark, he can take it (them) out...or, if he really does want to be marked, he can show that he's serious about it.

what a totally wonderful "mitzvah" you have done for your friend and what a beautiful way for her to keep herself centered.

(mitzvah is a Hebrew word with two connected but totally separate meanings - good deed and holy commandment. orthodox Jews believe that the more mitzvot (plural) we do the closer we will get to the time of the Messiah and the World to Come.

so I thank you for the doing, as well as for the telling as well as for the information and advice you passed on. I cannot tell you how many hippies and bikers I have had to treat because their tats or their piercings became infected. therefore I want to add to everyone reading this to please be sure that you sterilize everything that will touch the wounded area, that the branding tool is totally hot enough to kill all micro organisms and that you dress the wound properly and give it time to heal well.

Raven, thanks again

I would like to know why would you brand someone. I love my Master and that ought to show him enough that I belong to him. I have yielded my heart, body and soul to him, and I think that should be enought. Just wanted to know why.

A brand, in theory, is supposed to be a permanent mark. It is not removable like a collar. For those who it appeals to, it is more like marking property than say a tattoo which is more mainstream.

Brands are harder to control than a tattoo though. Different people heal different ways. (As can be seen by Masterfiremaam's link) Some people keloid the first time, others don't keloid ever and are left with "watermarks". Some brands heal bumping out, while others sink in. Some heal spreading out, blurring the original image until it is an unrecognisable blob. Because of this, there is less control than a tattoo some people find them less desirable. It is just personal preference.

Brands have been used in marking slaves as long as there have been slaves. For some that is the primary appeal. If the look doesn't appeal to your Master and he is happy with things as is, there is no real reason why you should get one.

I branded baby slave a couple of times. The last time I used a metal spoon of all things. I wanted a large mark that would last a long time. The spoon was everything I needed, thin, quick to heat, quick to cool down and transferred the energy efficiently. Worked great!

In My case I branded baby slave so she would have a lasting reminder of a particular lesson. The lesson was extremely hard for her to learn and took a lot of work. It was important to Me that she NEVER forget.

Quick thought (question?) that just occurred to me. How does He know that you have yielded your body?

Easy to say, harder to do, No?.

Daddy used a sterile soldering iron set on the lower setting with a sharp tip and it came out great. I have tattoos too but like my brand also. Yours Tat
