It's prompted me to think about encoding the nine-digit numbers as nine lines, each with a length according to the number. Then people who didn't want to have an obvious number or barcode tattoo could still have the option to be tattooed with a representation of their unique SLRN. The static signs that don't 'flash' look very similar to your tattoo. If looking for discretion your design is therefore a good choice I think. Thank you for your kind comments W/we are old enough that the bar code has no esthetic appeal.
