It's part of Sacred Sexuality Beltane, which runs from April 29 to May 3 in Darlington, MD, USA. The website for the event is here: http://www.freespiritgathering.org/beltane/ and they are having these special Relationship Intensives on Wednesday the 29th overnight to Thursday. They asked myself and Joshua to do one, and of course we chose to do one on D/s relationships as a sacred path: Honor, Service, and Devotion: Love in a Power Dynamic http://www.freespiritgathering.org/beltane/honor... Why is there a big emphasis on Love? Because that's what they asked for. It had to have Love, and it had to have Pagan spirituality, and apart from that it could be as hardcore as we like. Well, actually, it will probably end up being as hardcore as the people who sign up for it. While I expect a wide range of experience (though not just fetishists, as we are very clear that this is D/s relationships, not SM sex - that's a different track!) it would be great if Joshua and myself were not the only full-time hardcore M/s people present. So feel free to pass this info around anywhere! For those who are not in the know, this is a landmark situation. Neo-Paganism is a strongly egalitarian faith that has had extreme objections to SM and especially D/s. The cutting edge of Pagan groups have come to the point that they are OK with SM and "play" D/s, but no more. I was holding my breath when I submitted the proposal for this workshop, and I expected it to be rejected. But it wasn't, and this is unprecedented. For the first time, an official and well-known Pagan gathering is going to let me sit around for a whole day and talk about how my slave and I both believe that our heavy power dynamic is not only good but a spiritual path, etc, etc. Y'all have no idea how hard I worked behind the scenes to get to this point. Why? Because after all the work I did to get a major Pagan organization to allow me to run an intensive about sacred D/s (not just SM, but D/s), people are not signing up for it. We need at least 4 people to make it happen. This is very disappointing to me, not so much because I can't live without running this intensive, but because it will just prove to the Folks In Charge (and others who are watching) that Pagans Just Don't Do That Inegalitarian Stuff, and I am a weird anomaly. The SM intensive has already been cancelled, I believe due to lack of attendance. So if there are folks in the eastern US who were thinking about attending Beltane and taking my intensive, but were on the fence about it, well... Though considering our finances I don't know if we would have made it anyway, though we could have prepared and saved up. I will ask anyhow as it never hurts to ask! If I am ever fee you bet if I can get there i will be there. I am also Pagan and have never felt as free as I am now
