from this one's point of view, i think that this style of Yours could be one very useful way of keeping the lines of communication open, something my late Master struggled with so left it up to me to take the initiative in - which may not seem very "slave-like" but it worked for U/us.
it is a great help from this one's slave perspective to know what is expected of one, clearly and from the start. And it also was praise that was Master's biggest way of getting absolutely anything HE wanted from me - and this style leaves a lot of room for praise.
on the outside looking in, i've seen a lot of M/s type relationships that seem to focus on correction and punishment to a degree that there is no room for praise. However, in my observation, nothing makes a real s-type (or an actual puppy - grin) do their tricks quite as well as a word of praise. And any style of Owner-ship that leaves room for praise to this one would seem to be quite intelligent. As the long-term desired-effect of any style of Ownership, to this one, would seem to be getting what that One wants, isn't it?

Yes, it is a good enhancement of communication.

Excellent randon thoughts in my opinion Judy 
Techniques like this actually hugely reinforce praise whenever the slave has done well, because they recieve praise on a longer term basis as well as immediately. This gives perspective to the long term overall improvements they've achieved (which many s-types often seem unaware of unless it's pointed out to them - I assume this is becasue they are always so involved in the immediate requirements of their Owner, but if anyone has any other thoughts it'd be great to hear them) which in turn encourages further growth.

W/we dont use any type of "managerial" styles. However i do like the sound of that and i do feel that if my Master were to use something like that that we would both benefit from it. It looks like it really helps clearly define goals and shows efforts and accomplishments made. While W/we are fairly laid back i am thinking about discussing this with Master even if just to see what his thoughts are on this as i do feel the benefits from it could be great. |

Yes, i certainly find it helpful in defining goals and progress. i really like having the structure and it helps keep me focussed. There are different levels and ways you could use a technique like this, so hopefully your Master will find one that suits you both. i hope it goes well

The "managerial style ownership" discussed here is something I'm planning to introduce into my Master/slave relationship soon. This is what prompted me to search these boards for more information, which led me to this article. Thank you all for providing such interesting discourse on this topic to date.
Now to my question: Can anyone suggest a good template document for this annual review process? I'm curious to know if standard/generic/business documents can be used or if some of you have created your own, tailoring it specifically to the Master/slave arrangement.
