Btw, is it just my Owner or do yours also prefer wearing same-looking clothes? I just hung eight, identical black t-shirts... *scratches chin*

I saw that and told my kitten what you said, she just laughed. She's always complaining that all my shirts seem to be black (they have different designs on them though! Well... the ones that have designs...). |

I've no idea. Here it's black soft pants, black t-shirt with no design, and barefoot. Well, he does wear sneakers outside, black of course.
I realized we're probably a bit odd, when I sorted laundry in the laundry room today. I do four machines a week: Black, lights (white, gray, kitchentowels, etc.), towels and sheets.
Guess which load contains the most clothing? Smile, it confuses people.

*applauds tangie*
I realized the other day that my white jammies are probably the first and only white item I've worn since the white dress-like thing at my confirmation when I was 14. Perhaps I should do a colour change at some point?
Btw, does anyone know the chemical name for washing soda? I'm racking my brains trying to figure out how and where to buy it in Sweden... I know Borax can be found in painter's stores (i.e. not in the grocery store), but I'm at a loss for washing soda... Smile, it confuses people.

Oh good gravy! Are there different cups? MacCain has this cookbook which he inherited from his mother from the old country. i'd love to cook him meals like his mom used to, but i can't ever get those recipes to come out quite right. Is that why? Or is it that i'm too mediterranean to cook food from the UK?
i'd love to blame it on wonkey measuring cups if that is an option. i could fix that!

Yep there are different cups - but in the UK we never use "cups" for recipe books - good old ounces in the old ones and grams in the new - so as to the "old grannie" book with cups in I am not sure where that would come from???

I have most trouble with recipes that use spoon sizes, ie teaspoon, table spoon, desert spoon etc. What is the standard size for each ? There probably is one, but my spoons all vary by quite a lot. Cooking can be so complex mowing grass is sooo much easier.
Best wishes n Mistress Tiara's beloved boy.

... and this is why the world needs to be entirely converted to the metric system! Where a centimeter is a centimeter, a decilitre a decilitre, and no one can come up with their own damn defenitions!
It's like when the Brits were going to begin using the decimal system instead of the monetary system before that, and everyone thought that decimals were so confusing. I mean... how can decimals be so confusing to someone used to counting like this: http://www.victorianweb.org/economics/currency.h...
Oh yes: A teaspoon is always 5ml, and a tablespoon is 15ml. That is about the only thing I trust in English recipes, because it's the same in metric and US measuring. As far as I know at least.
Sadly, the US recipes don't use a common measurement that's tinier than a teaspoon: the spice measure ("kryddmått"). It's 1ml, and often used for spice or salt, here in Sweden. Much more precise than "a pinch" or "a knife edge", Ah fink.
Smile, it confuses people.
