As 119-812-164 and others have said, I think it's a very individualized thing. For C and me, I needed to give up my career. He feels that he, his family and anything he's interested in should be my career. And I could/would not be willing to give myself to a man who could not support me financially.

That's not to say I don't do anything that doesn't benefit him directly. I frequently take classes/lessons for things that are of interest to one or both of us and I volunteer at our local women's shelter. I guess the requirement would be that I take on no responsibility that could come before him.

Best wishes for a celebration practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious or secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

while a lot of submissives do well in power positions many do not. i am in a GM position and it makes me miserable, i need to stay for the money at the moment but cant wait for the day i can quit. firing people makes me sick to the stomache, i hate writing people up and im am not good at yelling at vendors, which is needed sometimes. if she doesnt feel she would do well owning a shop she needs to try managment first to see if she can handle it. there is a lot of Dom type behavior in mangment and ownership.

I think 'the best career for a slave' is the one that best suits them and their Owner. As slave's have such diverse skills, personalities, needs and Owners, I think finding a career that suits these variables is the key to finding something to suit - I do not think there is a prescriptive pattern for 'what job suits a slave'.

To take your example, you may or may not find that you are suited to running your own business. It is not automatically 'above you' simply because you are owned.

If you feel floristry is the direction that lays ahead I would suggest that you maybe start to acquire a a few management skills while it is not a pressured situation. This could either be via a course or through some activity where you have to manage a situation - perhaps your college runs extra cirricular activities you could take to practice this? Or maybe your course has modules where you could take on the role of project leader? Practicing before it is really important in this way may help.

Just because you are owned it does not automatically mean you will be inhibited in this area. My boys career was extrememly dynamic, challenging, and one where he managed 1500 people and twenty six premises in a high pressured, vital area. I think the skills he learned during this phase of his life actually enhance his slavery - I have property I know I can put to use in a variety of situations which is an asset.

I really think that being a slave is no automatic impediment to more dynamic careers. You just need to prepare and try it out - the same as most people do.

Good luck :)

Yo Ho Ho! Seasons Greetings to everyone, however or whatever you celebrate.

I plain on going back to school to be a librarian, I think that is a good job for a slave like myself. I like helping others also I think it would be cool to work within the archives.

My grandmother was a cleaning lady. I always said If I had to do something in the mean time. ( of getting my dream job) I would want to clean other peoples houses. :)

Though now I am looking for a job in Medical Billing and Coding. I think its a good service job , without me the Doctors dont get payed.

just my thoughts

Bella

and a GOOD coder, like a slave, is worth their weight in gold!
