I have worn an Axmar Talena collar for about 5 years that was made permanent by applying Loctite to the locking screws. I have not had problems with airport security and recently have had several MRI examinations and 5 trips to the operating room with the collar in place. The hospital staff would have preferred that it be removed but was understanding when I explained that it could not be. I wish you luck and happiness with your collar. A permanent collar is great but if anything medical should come up there will be problems. I know from being in a car accident and all piercings were removed as there are machines that you just can't have metal. They do make one just like it but does have a special pin for release for any kind of emergency. If no way to remove it, they cut it off. I have talked with my Master on this and he does agree, not only for medical reasons but if for some reason one gets sick and the neck/throat swell there could also be a problem. I would love the fact that once the collar is locked it can not be removed but then reality sets in. My girl wears something similar - in silver. As of yet, I have not really had any experiences that are negative. At the doctor's office for a chest xray once they wanted it removed, but I just looked at the tech and said, "Does it look like I can remove it?" Lol. She agreed no, and i held it up while they did the xray. You would have to think of down the road and possible scenarios like that though, such as a surgery, where all jewelery must be removed unless you are very chummy with the surgeon! Next page
