I apologize in advance if this isn't posted on the correct board. I am just so excited that I had to tell/type about this or burst! Master and I had spent quite some time looking at the more permanent locking types of collars. After looking through the archives here and doing research around the net we decided to go with a stealth collar from SD's own Vad Farkas at www.ringofsteel.net. I am so very glad we did. The quality and beauty of the piece is amazing. He is a true craftsman. I have to say, it was perfect, just absolutely perfect. My new collar arrived Saturday so Master and I got to open it together. It was already a hugely special occasion for us. I have leather collars that I wear locked but we were greatly looking forward to getting one that would not have to be removed. Master and I were both excited and emotional as we opened that mailing package. I was delighted to discover the nicely gift-wrapped package inside, found it quite touching actually. I know it sounds silly but it just made that moment so much more special to us as we hadn't planned anything. I actually started tearing up then. Then we opened the package. The stealth collar is so amazingly beautiful and perfectly crafted. I couldn't believe just how beautiful it was actually holding it in my hand and the feelings that it produced. Don't get me wrong, I loved my other collar but here finally is my “real” collar, my permanent collar, the one I never have to remove for anything. Needless to say it was an extremely emotional and wonderful event. I told Master it felt like renewing our wedding vows. Good thing I don't have to worry about this getting wet because it received a thorough soaking as I was recollared. We hadn't thought it would be that affecting. Thank you so very much Vad Farkas for both the very precious gift of your amazing craftsmanship and your attention to detail that makes dealing with you a pure pleasure and that made Saturday a memory of a lifetime. My slave was so thrilled when she heard Vad was making her collar the day after we ordered, rather than just receiving one pulled off a shelf. This just left slave bouncing for the few days the collar was in the mail. Once the package reached our house and was in my hands my slave lit up. Slave was so excited as we each took turns opening parts of the package. Once we could see it, hold it, feel it; slave looked up at me with those pleading eyes asking if I would collar her right then. We had a wonderful experience putting her lovely steel collar on, filled with wonderful emotions. I'm so very glad we purchased the stealth collar from Vad. At the risk of sounding hokey, I actually think about the person that I'm making the items for. I do the opposite of what you see in the diners, instead of referring to folks as "oh you are the BLT" I refer to a collar by who it is for when taking to my shipping department, aka the wife about it. It was her idea to gift wrap all items she ships. We both try and keep all our customers at a personal and intimate level, after all we are dealing in something very personal. When my collar arrived from Vad Farkas, i was shaking as i opened it. Absolutely beautiful. Master had gotten it for me for O/our 2nd wedding anniversary in August, and Vad sent U/us a free gift of a necklace key for Master! W/we were thrilled! :D Also, i wear it proudly 24/7, and i have had no problems at work. i was worried, as i teach 2nd grade, and i've had no negative comments. Several of my students have even told me that i "have a pretty necklace," which makes me giggle. i did hang a moon/star charm (that Master gave me for O/our 1st anniversary) from it instead of my slrn tag, for discretion purposes, but i am so thrilled to be able to wear my collar all the time without worry! It was definitely the right choice to make for a "permanent" collar. Y/you are never more alive as when Y/you are at risk. Master's ~one~
