Most people call Me Ma'am outside the D/s world, anyone using less than polite terms tend to be very careful I don't hear it! I'm rarely called by My given name because it is unusual. My slave (who is a 24/7 shubby) calls Me either Ma'am, Princess, "my wife" (he is very proud of that) or nothing in particular. What you are called doesn't change who you are.
