I will never be comfortable using the name "Daddy". I am up front about that and know it's a hard limit for me.
If David-Sama ever told me to call him Daddy I'd have an issue... =/ That is something you call the man who raised you, not your Master. In my opinion.

David-Sama acknowledges that I am still a person, and still have opinions, so though I am his Slave, I still have a "me/I".

Lady Mistress is always referred to by that title but when I address her as "My Lady." This has worked in most situations, face-to-face, and as we are now LDR, on the phone/e-mail as well.

My boy addresses Me as;

Mistress.

'M' as an abridged form of Mistress acceptable in public when he still wants to address Me as his Owner (he started doing this himself, it was not a requirement. I suspect the women at the supermarket think I'm called Emily or something now). We really must come up with something better!

My name.

Affectionate names - darling, sweetheart, gorgeous etc.

his 'Distress' when he's being playfully cheeky, as in 'yes Distress'.

Hee. I call him Master Cylinder when we're being silly. But generally, and always when in public I call him Christopher - everyone else calls him Chris.

in the vanilla world, i call Daddy by His first name, Justice. privately, i call Him Daddy. within the lifestyle and community, i call Him Master Justice ... these names all feel comfortable to me in my relationship with Him. if He wishes that i call Him something different as W/we are together longer, Master only for example, and no longer Daddy, i will comply, but i don't foresee that happening otherwise.

i think the significance in a name has to do with what it means to the M/s couple. for me 'Daddy' isn't a 'transient' name that holds less significance than 'Master', but because you see it as such, then for you it is ... which i guess is why your Owner has requested you provide alternatives now ... :-)

The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.-- Alfred Lord Tennyson (1809 - 1892)

With it just us, I say Master, if I just say yes to a question, I get yes what? In vanilla, I say darlin'. He always calls me Diane yes with caps, or babe.

Hello again, puppy! i use the terms Master and Sir when refering to my Master. i sometimes say "my Owner" when refering to Him with others, as well.

"Oh most wonderful and powerful Master whom i love and adore and will always obey". ^_^

Though, i think that would become a tad tiresome, no?

Happy hunting.

clarice.

I don't thnk this is tiresome at all!!! In fact, i will copy and use this tomorrow morning for my owner, lord, master. Thanks for the suggestion!!!
