I wear a dog-tag on a short neck chain so that the tag rests just under the tee-shirt line. On one side of the dog-tag is my SLRN number and on the other, because I was formally enslaved on a Greek island, is the word "Σκλαβος" which is Greek for slave.

The Greek alphabet didn't come through correctly, but for anyone who's curious the word is Sklavos (which is modern Greek only, not ancient Greek)...

Yes I've just noticed this board doesn't support the Greek alphabet. Pity about that. Anyway AnonMoos, you're quite right, Sklavos is the modern Greek word for slave. Slave is just called "Slave" by Lady Mistress but is written as Sklavos.

However 2 months after i got my eternity collar i was i a car wreak and had to be taken to the hospital for xrays. The "key" for my collar was at home in the jewelry box and i had to call Master to retrive it and come to the hospital.

i've been recently told by someone 'in the know' that our local emergency room got tired of calling the maintenance guys every time someone came in with a locked collar and now they keep an Allen wrench in the ER to unlock and facilitate patient care.

but even so, living as Master and I do in Little Rock, i think the question of keeping a key with me at all times 'just in case' will be a question revisited before my dog collar gets replaced.....

I have any anklet that i wear. It is a locking anklet so it never comes off. That way if i want to display it, or if Sir wants me to, i can, but than if i want to keep it private i can. I have never had to remove it, BUT, i have set off a metal-dicator in a court. It was embarassing because i went through 3 times until i remebered what was setting it off, and than the cop looked at me weird.

~~There are subs and than there are slaves and from slaves come natural-borns, which are you?

I found a website that will engrave silver bands with Kanji words for you. They have done one in Kanji to say "Yummy Love Slave" so that might be an option. I plan to surprise master with a set of these for us to replace our wedding bands. [/quote]

Yes, please share that site information if you would.

At this time I only wear a collar upon coming home from work. It's one of the first things I do once in the door. (it should be the first, but as I have stated elsewhere, this pet is ADHD, and forgetfullness and distractablility are my hallmarkds , lol)

I will be receiving Sir's locking collar next month in a ceramony to follow our handfasting and this should clear up the problem. As it is now, I always weare some kind of "vanilla" choker to work so it should be a fairly smooth transation for my co-workers. *grin*

I'm just wondering how owned slaves display the fact day-to-day if it's not practical to wear a collar...

You don't. If you work in a place that discourages such displays then you should not do it. Why would you want to display the fact that you are an owned slave in such an unaccepting environment? For what it's worth, the collar is the quintessential display of owned slavery. There is nothing like it that is so universally accepted. I would like to add, if it's just a matter of wanted to feel his ownership on you as a token or reminder, then there are any number of jewelries and items that you may feel accomplish that. There are necklaces, bracelets, armlets, anklets, piercings, tattoos, and other's that have and will be used for that purpose. Many of these also are discrete enough that workplace rules are not threatened.

My thoughts only, other's mileage may vary.

i have not been officially collared to Mr. Oliver, but i am required to wear a training collar of sorts. i intentionally started wearing bits of ribbon and string around my neck as a reminder to myself of the kind of relationship that He and i had started. He, being the observant Man that He is almost immediately picked up on this and agreed that having something around my neck was a great reminder for me, and required that i always have SOMETHING tied at my throat until He put His collar around it. It works for us, since wearing a collar at work would raise unnecessary questions; although plenty of our child students have asked why i "always wear those necklaces" it beings a smile to my lips, and i just say that i enjoy feeling them around my neck :) Most are young enough where that satisfies their curiosity; the adults simply pass it off as an odd quirk (of which i have many :P)

So perhaps you can invest in some ribbons, or even pick out a pretty necklace together with a charm that means something to the both of you. Above all, the collar is just a symbol; a reminder of our status and place beneath our Masters.

Best of luck to you :)

So with a chip i will be find by the Lady, where ever i be,with the help of the gps-technik,Perhaps every dominant Women will get the information,so that i will be find by a dominate Lady, where ever i will be in the world.its not so important to wear a neckless with my registration number, its more iportant, that a Lady will find me,how ever she want to get contact with me,and to this day, where a Lady will be owned. Sorry my english is not perfect,i dont now if Someone is be able to understand my speech.

Charlie is not allowed to wear her collar at work, partly because she often works around food, but basically it is in the rules that there is a very strict limit on jewellery (ie one pair of studs for those with pierced ears... period) Charlie's managers, team leaders and co-workers do not object to her collar and it has been a conversation starter on countless occations. Some know what it is, other just take it as one of Charlie's quirks. As a result, Charlie now wears a cat collar around her ankle at wprk, usually concealed by her sock. Other than this, Charlie wears her collars 24/7. When Charlie is working somewhere where it will not be an issue, Master and Charlie are looking into a locking/eternity collar... Charlie is very excited :D
