Hi there, Caning is perhaps my favourite, however it is rather painful, more so than a paddle. Basically the only way to work out what it's like is to try it. I'd suggest that your Master starts lightly, slowly building strength as you become accustomed to it. Caning is a lot more bitey than the thud of a paddle, with the caner's force concentrated on a smaller area. Rather than a reddened rump you're more likely to welt and bruise. My avatar was taken approx 4 hours after my last caning. My Owner somehow manages to make the cane a lot more 'thuddy' by ensuring that the cane hits my butt squarely, with even pressure along the whole length of the cane. He also does not lift the cane quickly away, it's difficult to explain but he lets my butt take the full pressure before lifting the cane for another stroke. If your Master canes at an angle with uneven pressure along the length of the cane it can be quite bitey, and is more likely to produce uneven welts. The thicker the cane, the bigger the thud factor. The thinner the cane, the more the bitey whip. It turned out not to be as bad as i expected. Yes, bitey is a good explanation. It also depends on where you are struck. The first time it was my inner thighs. Very purple striped bruises that eventually turned greenish. They lasted quite a long time. Those on my ass from another session did not last as long. Of course, it depends on the thickness of the cane, the strengh of the stroke, and whether the cane is snapped or left to rest on your skin after striking. But i don't fear it as i did. Don't love it, but don't fear it. Canes are no different. The thicker the cane, the more thud, thump or whatever. The thinner, the more stingy. I swear, one day, I'm going to write a book called "The Physics of Kink". He's allowing the kinetic energy of the moving cane totally convert into the mechanical, heat, sound, potential energies that go into your body. I effing love them!!! It and the crop are my two favorites. I prefer the cane on my butt.. I think the reason I like it so much is it is more of a sting, or bite as the others said, and it hurts twice. There is the first trike hurt and then after a second it hurts again. I don't really know why though. lol But I love it. I personally am into more stingy than thuddy, though I do have a pretty think cane also, I prefer the thinner one. I do not have much experience with paddles, but I don't seem to care for them to much. Seriously, caning places the same amount of energy into a much smaller area, thereby increasing the intensity of the blow. Most Dominants will start out light, and let the slave/sub build a tolerance to it over time, until the slave/sub is able to take a much harder blow. My favorite is the 19" delrin tattooing cane. It is very intense, unbreakable, and...well....intense LOL! The cane can strike fear into many slaves and subs, simply because they have seen it done badly so many times. Internet sites usually have poor girls beaten until they can hardly stand. The canings are done cold without a warm up. The cane marks cut and leave what I can only see as permanent scares. Who would treat an animal like that? Who would treat a valuable slave or sub like that I do not know. Caning can range from the very sensual to the very painful. Sensual could be 15 minutes with a light cane, tapping away gently, leaves a stinging and warm glow. It does sting but the slight build up gives an overall tingling sensation. As you progress, then the caning can become harder. If you master has not caned before he must choose the right cane first. Most people think the light whippy canes are best but your master should find a good stiff, thinker cane made of rattan, never bamboo. The greater control will allow your master to control the cane and know where it will land every time. Like any “weapon” a cane can do serious damage if used incorrectly. For mental preparation ask Master to do two things. First let you watch him practise on a cushion. If he can land the cane every time on the same past of the couch cushion, he can land it on your cushion just as well. It's a good confidence boost to know that master has control. Secondly, warm up first. Spanking with the hand or slipper. Leather belt and strap to get the blood flowing. It is not “cheating” as a cold caning is pure pain. Most master like to make a punishment last and he will have a better time if you can last longer than giving you 6 of the best and then having to stop. Lastly, have him start slow. It will not be the last caning you will ever have. There will be most because if it is done right you will beg him for more, as there is no feeling quite like it. Except maybe to still feel that ridge on your backside or a touch of pain as you rub against something two days later. He will not physically be there but his impression will. Good luck and go slowly. 5 Jul 08, 5:26 PM MasterTJs_lil1bebe US(IA), 3 yrs caning is great, but for bebe it has been long ago, since bebe has had any type of cane used on bebe's ass, but bebe is sure that Master, will use different types of canes on His bebe's ass, in time to come, *smiles*. last time, was with ex-master and that has been long ago, he used different types of canes, but whatever type of cane he used, it always left red marks and welts on my ass for weeks. seemed to never smack my ass the same way, was always different in the way that the cane landed on my ass.
