Instead it has become much worse, making it pretty much impossible for me to attend the M/s conference in DC this August. So, unless something changes dramatically, Carolyn and I will not be able to attend this year. This means, that I need someone else to step forward and finalize arrangements for the Meet and Greet. At this point, MasterTaino has offered to let us use one of the rooms he has already reserved for the conference, so there will be no cost for this. It also allows him to list the event in the conference schedule (Friday evening). Because there will be a similar gathering next door, it allows TSR to piggyback on some of the arrangements, such as the cash bar. So, would someone who is attending the conference please step forward and take over arranging this? At this point, all you have to do is confirm with MasterTaino that everything is set and let people know about it. Everything is set up for a TSR meet and greet. Carolyn and I, though, will probably not be able to attend, so I need someone else to step forward to act as a liaison between TSR/SD! and MasterTaino. At this point, all someone needs to do is confirm the arrangements and give MasterTaino a head count. Steve, Just wanted to let you know that the Reception for The Slave Register is official. We will provide a room on the fourth floor for the reception for Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. We will provide some trays of food and there will be a cash bar attending two receptions next to each other. NO food or alcohol is allowed to be brought from outside sources according to hotel policies and our contract. Close to the event, let me know how many people you expect, so we can plan the food accordingly. Master Taino Producer Given my scheduling problems, there was simply no way for us to repeat what we did last year: stay in a suite and use that suite for the meet and greet and ongoing TSR gatherings throughout the conference with continuing food and beverage service. As people's plans are firming up, could I get an idea of who expects to be able to attend the SD/TSR Meet and Greet? I offered to keep track of the count for this year. The event will take place from August 7 through 10. More information is available at http://www.masterslaveconference.org/ A reception for SD/TSR people is scheduled for Friday from 5:00 to 6:00. The event will provide snacks and there will be a nearby cash bar. Here is the current list of attendees.
