I am just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
I like that Master puts me in hood at times, as i love sensory deprvation. and when i am in most forms of bondage it normaly feels right. for me being in bondage i tend to relax and be happy. most of the time i just drift off into other places when i am in bondage.
but a few nights ago. i was sleeping on my bed. with Master in his bed next to me. i fallen asleep watching a movie with my hood on and mittens. which was fine. until i woke up in middle of the night. i really did freak out. i was really panicing about being in hood. i think i had nightmare but i can't remember. but i just woke up panic. this first time something like this has happened to me. Master quickly took the hood off and i calmed down after about ten mins.
so i started to think. what would happened if Master has decided to keep me locked in the hood even though i wanted it off and was panicing. not that he would with out good reason. but i am wondering what would happening in that situation. i know how i reacted in past to sertain things i have made me panice. like water bondage it pannic for first 5-6 times. then after i that i just felt total fine with it.
so i am wondering if other slave have exprence just sudden almost panic attacks from being in Bondage for periods of time. i know that some can be induced view pain or stress possitions. but i am meaning from things you normaly be totaly blissfully happy in suddenly making you panic. and how did you deal with it?

that's why my Lord,Mistress and myself all try to be int he right frame of mind before endulging in bondage or floggings.
it was not via bondage but recently i was not int he frame of mind to be flogged,it was apparent after the first few lashes and we both realsied it and stopped right there. |

pet did something similar a few nights ago. she sleeps restrained to the bed every night, and yet the other night she woke up at about 5am and (groggily, I might add) wanted loose and to be held. We typically do this anyway once I let her out of her restraints, but for some reason she felt that she needed out early that morning.
she very likely had some sort of nightmare. she is usually pretty good about accepting her restraints until I release her.

I often freak out and panic, with many different types of situations.... rather than use a hood, maybe just a eye mask for your face, one you could remove if you had too...
I know alot of people freak out by hoods... I couldn't do one, i'd feel like I was suffocating... If I woke up from a nightmare, I'd probably hurt myself on accident trying to get it off... I take off my eye mask in my sleep because it freaks me out half way through the night... I can sleep bound/tied to the bed... but it took me a while to find that comforting instead of frightening...
I think your Master is very kind and considerate of you, to have woken up and removed it, sitting with you until you calmed down, that is a wonderful understanding Master you have right there! (luckily mine is like that with me too!)
Take your time.. once you've had a negative panic or experience with something, it can take 10 positive one's to erase the negative one.... so just keep having "positive" experiences with it until you no longer fear it.

Master bought me this beautiful lock collar in the shape of a heart. It's exactly what I've been wanting.
Unfortunately we lost the keys. I was trying very hard not to freak out. But I knew that if Master went to work this morning without the keys being located I would likely start panicking since I was already in freak out mode.
Fortunately this lock is more about aesthetic appeal than being a high grade lock and Master was able to get it off with a screw driver.
However, I had no problem with the collar before the keys were lost. . . iinarihoudai

Hello Takara,
Sounds like a frightening experience.
we do bondage and sometimes it gets scary or i feel frightened, not like a panic attac though. i always try and breath through it. Sometimes captivity in whatever form causes fear (with me, and others), it can help just to know this. It is part of what i like about it, by the way
when i started wearing the eternity collar 24/7, this one:

i was kind of scared at night too. i felt like i couldn;t get out, couldn't breath. i couldn't sleep at first. It was not a panic attac like you describe though. Frank didn't take it off (i was happy about that) and i got used to it. i can imagine if you wake up, being so scared, it is really great your Master is there to take care of you.

That's a very interesting question. What do you think would or could happen?

Most Dominants wouldn't keep the hood on in a situation like that. THey value Their property too much to allow damage, even psychological damage to occure to that which They value.
I have on numerous occasions pulled someone off the cross, or out of bondage because of psychological issues such as past issues coming up during a scene. These things are common, and even expected at times. The wise Dominant will notice little changes in behavior, or attitude which will alert Them that something is amiss.
I will try at first to talk the slave or sub down, so to speak, and see if I can calm them. If not, then the bonds are removed, and a discussion occures as to what happened, and ways of circumventing the issue in the future. In some cases, the issue self resolves, and play contimues.
Here at Our House, W/we do not scene, or play if either side is ill, depressed, or just not there mentally or emotionally. THe play would not be satisfying, and both parties would wind up disappointed in the end. Far better to wait a bit, and se if things improve.
If the need for scening is great, and there is no way for the sub or slave to get into the proper frame of mind, oftimes something like a simple paddling will suffice until things improve. Many subs and slaves can still tolerate a paddling, even when scening is out of the question. It raises their endorphins some, and takes the edge off until a proper scene can be done. |
