I was thinking about sort of GPS sender/receiver but can not find anything on the web. Someone some other idea ? So long as you always carry your mobile phone this is an affordable and easy to use method via text messages. Tips for googling: Most of these items are marketed towards children, adolescents, elderly and the disabled. They were at least partly developed if not perfected; unfortunately they're not available commercially and nobody has reported any progress since 2002 or 2003. The implantable chips they put in animals don't use GPS; they need to be scanned, so they're not that different from having a barcode. At least in the US, you can buy regular cellphones with GPS which are trackable via website. pais 20 Apr 07, 5:25 PM A_Magister US, 5 yrs Y! pais is correct. In the US, Boost mobile and others offer the feature right on the phone. However, with these phones there is no need to search on the website. As far as i know, they should. They use the same technology on little watches for kids in case they get kidnapped, so it i think it should.
