One-off talks or sessions are sometimes advertised on TSR's M/s and D/s board. Annual Events South West Leather Conference www.southwestleather.org, 21-23 January 2011 Southwest Leather Conference in Phoenix, Arizona is produced by Butchmanns and emphasises the interpersonal and spiritual dynamics of D/s relationships and SM practices. It also hosts the Southwest Master/slave Contest. South Plains Leatherfest www.southplainsleatherfest.com, 25-27 February 2011 South Plains Leatherfest is held annually in Dallas, Texas during February. As well as the dedicated M/s track of presentations, it hosts the International Master/slave Contest which is the national final for the various regional M/s contests in the US. Northwest Leather Celebration www.northwestleathercelebration.com, 20-22 May 2011 The Northwest Leather Celebration hosts the NW Master/slave contest, alongside some M/s and D/s workshops in a broader programme. South East Leather Fest www.seleatherfest.com, 9-12 June 2011 SELF in Atlanta, Georgia hosted the South East Master/slave Contest for the first time in 2007 (it had previously been part of the Together In Leather weekend.) Great Lakes Leather Alliance www.greatlakesleather.org, 19-21 August 2011 Great Lakes Leather Alliance is a leather conference in Indianapolis, Indiana which takes place each year during August. It includes the Great Lakes Master/slave Contest. MASTER/slave Conference www.masterslaveconference.org, 2-5 September 2011 The MASTER/slave Conference is held in Washington, DC during the Labor Day weekend in September, and is the only major conference specific to M/s and 24/7 D/s relationships. The Northeast MASTER/slave Contest takes place during the conference. Retreats, academies, etc Butchmanns Experience www.butchmanns-experience.org Mostly in Phoenix, Arizona Intensive educational weekends designed to provide an opportunity for self-discovery in pursuit of self-actualization. The event includes hands-on training in basic SM practices, protocol and rituals, and a view of leadership and obedience through the lens of Master/slave dynamics. Master Taino's Training Academy www.mtta-programs.org Washington DC area Programmes designed to give a real time experience of the Master/slave lifestyle by the incorporation of protocols and service aspects, along with the many classes of various topics: an atmosphere that not only allows for the exploration of the Master/slave lifestyle, but one that promotes self exploration as well.
